Ghosts of Manhattan: 1512-2012, interactive history - a live installation in Fort Tryon Park tracing 500 years of New York City history, beginning with the native Lenape and the arrival of Dutch traders in 1612, through slave revolts in 1712, the foundation of the stock market in 1812, to Jack Johnson defeating the Great White Hope, the women’s suffrage movement and the advent of television in 1912 and finally - a dance party overlooking the George Washington Bridge in 2012.
